Hello, Just purchased a used T and I wanted to add a fingerprint reader since I’ve used it on most of my past machines. By the way, reinstall apparently re-checked the “Allow computer to cingerprint off this device to save power” option on the fingerprint sensor.
After reinstall and restart, the fingerprint sensor is working as expected again. I posted your solution to all sites I searched for my problem with reference to this thread.
Roll back driver button on fingerprint sensor driver details tab said no driver was backed up. I did some changes in BIOS and it started working again.

I have the same question I’ve tried uninstalling, re-installing – doesn’t work. Message 3 of Open the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter http: Sorry this didn’t help. I was hoping it’d be as I have the same issue on a brand new Thinkpad T running vista 32bit. Message 5 of Anyway I misclicked the message and had no chance to take care of it in the action center!

I tried downgrading drivers – still nope. So it is better to do a Google search for ‘Lenovo Fingerprint Software’.
