From reading this post, I was lead to the path statement for the computer that is found when right mouse button clicking on the my computer icon, going to “Properties” then the advanced tab and clicking on the “environment variables” button in Windows XP.

Remove From My Forums. I discovered that the oracle 8i path variable was before the oracle 10g path variable in the path statement. I have noticed that this happens on 64 bits computer, but I’ve also seen that this not happens on all 64 bits computers. Report message to a moderator.

PB is a 32 bit app and needs the 32 bit driver. It seems that if you use ‘any cpu’ or x64 and you create an odbc connection it searches in the x64 section of de odbc drivers. Did this KB xpecified help you? I use windows 7 64 bits. Note that sometimes ist rather tricky to use the corrent bitness of the ODBC administration.
